slug
she felt it again
the slug in her mouth
devouring her guts and her tongue now tied
her mouth is shut, every word that escaped sounded like parseltongue
the slug, now fat with blood
lounged around slowly churning away her insides
she no longer wished to host the evil resident
so she dissolved salt in water
and gulped every last drop
the salt burned her wounds like fire to a moth
she couldn’t hold it in
she vomited the slug out
there it was writhing in despair
and it burst open splattering blood everywhere
enough to make everyone stop and stare,
to mourn over its dead body and the blood it shed
the blood it claimed its own,
though stolen from mine
now every scream i let out
sounds like its thine
